There is nothing better than being outside shooting a wedding when the weather is warm and sunny. So lucky for Kate & Andrew it was just that!

They were legally married earlier in the morning with only close family and friends and had a beautiful blessing outside in the wonderful walled gardens at Wallington hall  Northumberland. What a great bunch of people they were too! Everyone was so nice and a great time was had by all.

As usual I have posted some of my favourite pictures from the day.

Say hello to little baby Finlay James Black. Only 10 days old and a natural poser!

New born sessions are photographed with  minimal fuss and  upheaval. I come to baby’s home and ask mum and dad to interact with the baby as normal. Using natural light, I am able to capture beautiful natural portraits which mum and dad will cherish forever!!

Wallinton Hall is a beautiful 17th century National Trust property and a fantastic place for a wedding. It has extensive grounds which are stunning in the summer months.

Luckily on the day of   Marie & Richards wedding it was a glorious summers day, so the grounds and the walled garden were looking their best.

Queensberry wedding albums are without doubt the best wedding album available today. They are in a league of their own when it comes to style and quality.

So with that in mind I couldn’t wait to share my sample album with you.

It is 12×12 inches in size, with a beautiful  black micro leather cover. It feels gorgeous, a little like suede! Inside it has ivory mats over black base pages, Queensberry call this their Page-mount style. This sample has 24 page sides with 73 images in it. I think you will agree it looks stunning!

I can not over emphasize how much I love these albums. As Queensberry themselves say ” Each Queensberry album tells a unique story. We call this story-tailoring: giving shape to your special moments in the same way a courture house tailors clothes”

Well I have to say, this wedding was perfect! I knew it was going to be a good day when I woke up and the sun was shining.

The ceremony was at the spectacular Brinkburn Priory, in the Northumberland countryside. I am told that there are not many weddings performed here, so feel very privileged to have had the opportunity  to photograph here. Alexa had a horse drawn carriage to the priory and a very cool vintage bus to ferry the guests. the ceremony was beautiful! and very emotionally charged, reducing many of the attendees to tears including the vicar!!

I don’t think I could have wished for a nicer bunch of people, it was a pleasure photographing their special wedding day.

Well I’m always told I don’t post many male model portfolio shoots on my blog. Believe me, that is not because I don’t like posting male models, or cant be bothered to blog them, simply put, I rarely shoot them! Again that isn’t because I don’t like to, it just seems like there are not many males in the North East of England that are coming to me to have a photo shoot for a model portfolio. There really is a shortage of good male models in and around Newcastle. So if you are a guy reading this, and thinking about getting into modelling for a bit of extra cash, then get in touch with one of Newcastle’s major agencies and give it a go. Then if you get accepted give me a call and we can sort out your portfolio!!! (shameless plug).

So anyway on to today’s images.

What can I say about Afnan, if there is anyone determined to make it in the entertainment biz, it’s Afnan. A really nice bloke who was fun to work with and very easy to photograph (his mum was also great fun and made a great cuppa!). It was a pleasure to photograph his portfolio, and I wish him the best of luck in his acting career.

Another great day shooting gorgeous models in and around the North East of England, can’t be bad can it!

Alex came to us for a model portfolio as she his hoping to work as a model here in Newcastle to help see her through her education. With such strong features and an apparent likeness to Hollywood superstar Audrey Hepburn,  I’m sure she will go far.

Here are a few of my favourites from the day.

Anna came to us for some up dated pictures for her model portfolio last week, it was freezing cold but as we are hardy up north we battled through!! And it paid off to with some great images. We only had several hours with Anna so we shot around some of our favourite locations in Newcastle then up to the nice warm studio in Bedlington Northumberland. Once we got to the studio Anna really opened up (as she was no longer frozen solid!) resulting in some great studio fashion shots!

Nick & Kim, were married at the wonderful Matfen Hall in Northumberland.

The atmosphere surrounding the wedding was wonderful – an intimate winter wedding with close family and friends.They were a  lovely couple to work with but I may be slightly biased as I used to work with them both (in a past life!) and know them very well. I love working at Matfen Hall, with its huge bridal suite, and  massive open rooms, it makes my job a pleasure.

Even though it was snowing outside we still popped out to do some  portrait shots, I love a bride who’s determined to get the photos she wants!!!
